When will I receive my deck?

I expect to ship the decks, books, and all other Kickstarter-backed goodies in January 2019, although there is a chance that everything will be ready to go in December. I can’t guarantee shipping in time for the holidays, but I’ll be trying my damnedest to make it work.

Why is international shipping so hella expensive?

That’s a great question. Unfortunately, shipping abroad is just really, really expensive and is something I don’t have any control over. Please note that you are responsible for any international customs fees and I will be sending the packages as merchandise.

What is your return policy?

If you pledge to support The Simple Tarot Deck on Kickstarter and you decide that the deck isn't for you within one week of receiving it, you may return it to me for a full refund, minus shipping.

Will I be able to buy this deck after the Kickstarter campaign ends?

Yes, the product will be available for sale in 2019, however the MSRP will be higher and you will not get the “goodies” like the art print postcards, tarot cheat sheet, or any other add-on options.

How is this deck manufactured?

I’ve worked really hard to keep this deck 100% manufactured in the USA. I am planning that the decks will be printed in Missouri, the books will be printed in South Carolina, and the packages will be assembled (by me & my team) in Minnesota.

However, if this campaign blows up, I may need to use overseas printers, a fulfillment house, and distributors. Oh, those would be such good problems to have!

Why are you using Kickstarter?

One of my core values is supporting the work of independent creatives, and Kickstarter is an amazing platform for making that happen. I’ve put so much of myself into this project (including months and months of time & thousands of dollars), and Kickstarter helps me to take it over the finish line.

Specifically, Kickstarter is awesome because:

  • It helps to determine if (and exactly how much) demand there is for this deck, so I know exactly how many to order from the printer.

  • It helps me communicate directly with people who love this deck - and as a supporter, you can give me feedback before printing happens so we can make this deck even more amazing.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.

Why can’t I log into my account?

Request a login link to your survey by entering your email here:

BackerKit will send you an automated email with an invite link to whatever email you pledged with.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

Can I upgrade or get multiple copies of my pledge?

This depends on the project creator’s decision. If you are unable to see the ‘Want to switch your pledge level?’ after clicking on your pledge amount under “Pledge Level” in your survey, then the project creator would prefer people not to switch pledge levels.
